I had a break down yesterday. I feel like I am being pulled in so many different directions. School, Work, Dave, Lily, Family. I had to think about my priorities for a little bit and that was really hard. How do you put things first.
I mean my house is a mess, My marriage is strong but I feel like I am neglecting my husband more than I should and I feel guilty about that. School is DRAINING ME! The one thing that keeps me going is the challenge of my game the level up chore wars thing. Because I know that when I get on the treadmill and walk I can clear my head and think about things, and it puts everything into perspective.
I walk and I think about my husband, and how he loves me and I asked for the treadmill and so he bought it for me. I look at the photos in the room and think how lucky I am to have him in my life.
Then I look at the pile of laundry, and I imagine that it is not there. Then I look at the dust in the room and think, I gotta do something about this because I keep sneezing.
I am human, and I do love life. But at the same time I just want and need a break. Can I get one... Thank god for Yoga! That calms me down... that and sex with my Hubby!

Motivation
Who would have thought that making working out a competition game would work for me. I am going up against some in shape people. And I am trying to compete with them. I think my small goal is to get to level 12 by the end of the month on the original game that Dave and I started. Because if I can do that personally then I will have achieved something I never thought possible. On top of that adding to my score in the game.
And the best part is, I am not even thinking about weight loss. I know it will be a welcome side effect to this game but the thought barley crosses my mind. What does cross my mind is who is gaining on me and what do I have to do to keep my edge, and if someone catches up to me what can I do to catch up?
But I am loving the way I feel. One week in and I can tell a difference in how I feel. *sip of water*
I love that this is helping motivate my sweet and handsome husband. He is walking more and getting in better shape with me and that feels good. I really have high hopes that this is something we can stick too. I mean heck if we can play City of Heroes for 2 years every night then I think Chore Wars is definitely doable.
I am off now to do some Yoga for Ab's to work on my core strength. Yoga makes it easier than anything else. Because I am not stressing and I feel good after-wards. I cannot say that after Windsor . Besides that I sold my DVD's on E Bay for $40.00 a couple of months ago.
So off I go... To earn more XP... Gosh I love this game.

Housework and More Housework
Today I have done nothing but housework. Vacuuming Stairs, Cleaning Bathrooms, and I mean really cleaning them. Scrubbing on my hands and knees... doing laundry. I wanted my Spring Flowers my Tulips that my Husband Sent me Just Because to have a nice home. So they needed a place to look pretty. So I cleaned our room. Dusted, I even got under the bed.
I have not had this much energy to do this much housework since we moved here. Now our house smells good and looks good and pretty.
So what else did I do today... I baked a cake. Funfetti! For Easter.
And then made Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner, Chopping up fresh Veggies, and was so good. Healthy and good.
The only thing that sucks about today is that I did not get on the treadmill but I have been running up and down the stairs all day. And I did not get restful sleep last night because I kept having bad dreams.

Wow the Power of Gaming
I cannot believe the power of playing a game. This morning for the first time in years I did a Video tape exersise. Ok maybe not YEARS but it has been a long time.
So this morning I got up and did, Cardio Blast with Tamiliee Webb (Buns of Steel Girl) and I was working out hard, breathing hard but feeling good.
And man oh man was I ripe! I stunk! But I rocked it! I finished the work out and felt so good that I did the Candlelight Energizing Yoga 10 minute wake up routine. I was already awake after my workout but this felt good to streach out. And I am getting more flexible because I am almost to the floor with my heals during downward facing dog pose.
More people have joined the game and it is exciting. Between Jessica and Jill I have my competition set up for me. Jill is doing a 5 K. So I have to get up to that fitness level.
And I took the stairs again today.... Not as hard as yesterday I almost ran up them!

Why do people feel the need to Cheat
Now I love my sister do not get me wrong, she is a wonderful person. But the rules of our game were pretty simple..The day you sign up is the day you start. We do not allow you to go back and put stuff in before the game actually began.
HELLO Even Facebook does not let you do that. There is a need for competition but there is also a need to keep it fair and fun. Needless to say, my sweet husband got quite upset about this and was not really happy that it was his sister that was "Cheating the game"
We wanted to do this as an expirement, to see the power of gaming. See the theroy is that when people are gaming they think they can do anything and they keep trying. (Which in our case is true) Even though I suck at playing Gituar Hero I keep trying to get better.
Well that was the whole point of the Chore Wars. WE found this free web page where you can set up a GAME to track progress and we reviewed what others had done with it.
There was a guy with Memory loss who used the game to remind him of things he had to do every day.
The game can be a powerful tool... But it only takes one person to ruin the fun by trying to BEAT every one by cheating. What is the fun in that. Especially if the game is about motivating you to do something you normally would not do. Like me getting up early and walking on my treadmill.
I can understand my husband being upset. But I reminded him this is an experiment and we are in BETA Testing, (A Term he uses at work) and that we have not even gone close to going GOLD with the game.
So we will keep plugging along and I will keep trying to keep my leveling going up. I love the competition and the fact that this game keeps me HONEST!

FACEBOOK is my Enemy
So FACEBOOK Games are my Downfall. They are free and they are fun to play... But Why? Because it is something to do. But guess what, taking care of ourselves is free and costs nothing and our time can be better spent. So Dave (My wonderful Husband) Found a fun web site called CHORE WARS and it is like a world of warcraft tracking system or you can make a game out of something.
So this challenge is going to be tracked with a team on Chore Wars! So far Dave and I are the only one's that have leveled up but we have invited everyone we know on Facebook in our Game Group to join and compete in the challenge.
This is going to be fun. I love entering in what I have done and LEVELING up. What a concept instead of cooking food in a virtual cafe and maintaining a town that ALWAYS seems to fall apart I am walking on my treadmill *also a gift from my wonderful husband* and doing Yoga!
Walking my dog is fun too.... SO JOIN US WON'T YOU!!!
Join the group, join us in the challenge. Do something good for yourself.... Not just to level but to feel better.

We Found a Free Web Page to Track the Game COOL BEANS
So my wonderful husband has noted that I have not been using the Treadmill that often because I am spending all my time on FACEBOOK playing Cafe World and Farmville and Towner and Bejewled Blitz. This is what I do in my downtime from work and school.
But I admit that I have not been two diligent in using my treadmill. So guess what! Dayvee is making a game out of it. I am going to level up and unlock rewards for using my treadmill.
So if my facebook games start slacking it is because I am in FULL competition mode with my husband on our challenge.
I would love some feedback from anyone on this blog.
So here is the Challenge (updated):
Rather then try to keep track of all the leveling ourselves, my husband found a website called ChoreWars. The website was designed to make doing household chores into an RPG style game. But you can use it to make a game out of tracking anything, so we're setting it up to track exercise, and give XP and gold for completing everything from walking the dog to using the treadmill. It will keep track of leveling and loot for us, as well as throwing in random monster encounters to add a bit of fun and adventure.
This is an experiment of using the power of games in everyday life. Anyone whose ever got addicted to facebook games, or obsessed over their Xbox achievements or PS3 trophies knows how powerful a simple game like this can become. Even when all you get for winning is a warm fuzzy feeling and bragging rites.
Day One the Challenge and the Terms

So here is the Challenge:
1 minute of walking on the treadmill is 1 point.
Level 1 is 10 points
2 = 15
3 = 22
4 = 33
5 = 50
6 = 75
7 = 113
8 = 170
9 = 255
10 = 383
11 = 575
12 = 863
13 = 1295
14 = 1943
*+*+*+*+*+* After level 14 we will add more to the Challenge
15 = 2915
16 = 4373
17 = 6565
18 = 9840
19 = 14760
20 = 22140
Now I know a lot of my Facebook friends are Gamer's and are on their games just as much. So I ask Starting April 1st Do you want to join this challenge of the Walking for a minute equals 1 point?
If you are up for the challenge, comment on the blog. I will start writing in this daily instead of playing the games on my farm and on my cafe... The doors may be shut for a while.
You can make this game however you want.... Once we reach level 14 we will get super powers, so you will get a boost in points if you take a vitamin, or choose a healthy meal over a not so healthy meal, have WATER instead of soda.
This is not meant to be drastic, it meant to motivate you to LEVEL UP in your health and be ahead of everyone else in the Challenge.
Just like we want the best FARM, FISHTANK, CAFE or TOWN or PET we also want the best HEALTH we can get. So who is up for it? Who will join me in this challenge?
