Now I love my sister do not get me wrong, she is a wonderful person. But the rules of our game were pretty simple..The day you sign up is the day you start. We do not allow you to go back and put stuff in before the game actually began.
HELLO Even Facebook does not let you do that. There is a need for competition but there is also a need to keep it fair and fun. Needless to say, my sweet husband got quite upset about this and was not really happy that it was his sister that was "Cheating the game"
We wanted to do this as an expirement, to see the power of gaming. See the theroy is that when people are gaming they think they can do anything and they keep trying. (Which in our case is true) Even though I suck at playing Gituar Hero I keep trying to get better.
Well that was the whole point of the Chore Wars. WE found this free web page where you can set up a GAME to track progress and we reviewed what others had done with it.
There was a guy with Memory loss who used the game to remind him of things he had to do every day.
The game can be a powerful tool... But it only takes one person to ruin the fun by trying to BEAT every one by cheating. What is the fun in that. Especially if the game is about motivating you to do something you normally would not do. Like me getting up early and walking on my treadmill.
I can understand my husband being upset. But I reminded him this is an experiment and we are in BETA Testing, (A Term he uses at work) and that we have not even gone close to going GOLD with the game.
So we will keep plugging along and I will keep trying to keep my leveling going up. I love the competition and the fact that this game keeps me HONEST!
